	Where can I buy the system?
	Competitors	You must buy from one of their dealers.
	Cortexa	Our dealers and distributors are experts in Home Automation and can assist you and answer any questions you may have. For direct sales, you may purchase Cortexa at Automated Outlet, Worthington Distribution or Smarthome. Or, leave it strictly to the experts! We can recommend installers that work in your area to help you make the best choices for your home.
	Will I be able to access my home over the Internet for free?
	Competitors	There is a monthly subscription fee for this service.
	Cortexa	The entire system is fully web-enabled and always available remotely. Because of Cortexa's solid-state Unix-based design, you are actually accessing virtual content, and that means you can always browse your home over the web safely and securely.
	When the system is installed and I want to make changes, how will that work?
	Competitors	You'll have to call one of their dealers, and they'll make the changes.
	Cortexa	We’ll show you how to do it yourself, or you can have Cortexa or one of our dealer partners do it….it's your choice.
	When the system is installed and I want to add more lights or other components, do I need to buy more software or incur more cost?
	Competitors	Yes. The software license fee you are charged only covers the initial configuration. Every single device incurs a license fee, and that license is required before the device can be added to the system.
	Cortexa	The Cortexa can expand with a minimum of extra components needed.
	Can I use any subsystem devices, lights, thermostats etc. with the system?
	Competitors	No. They only support the proprietary devices they sell with their systems.
	Cortexa	Our goal is to support the most requested and best performing devices across all subsystems. We are constantly adding to the list of supported products, so check back with us often.
	As you further develop the software, will it be made available to me?
	Competitors	No. They'll tell you that software development is expensive, so there will be an upgrade fee.
	Cortexa	When you sign in to register your Cortexa, you are also signing in to receive regular updates and upgrades to the system for the first year.
	I have a strong technical background, can I install the system myself?
	Competitors	They'll tell you that you really don’t want to do that and to leave it to one of their dealers.
	Cortexa	Certainly. We’ll help you understand what it entails, and if that’s what you want to do, we’ll help in any we can to make it as straight forward as possible. We have installation training available from both Automated Outlet as well as Worthington University.
	I don’t have or need Microsoft Media Center, is that a problem?
	Competitors	Well, yes.  You need to have it all.
	Cortexa	Not at all. Our system fully integrates with Microsoft Media Center.
	I have great pictures of my home, can I use them in the system?
	Competitors	No, sorry.
	Cortexa	Yes, and it truly will be your home. Simply import any picture to represent a device or even a room, it’s pretty cool.
