Sub-systems are all of the systems in your home; audio/video, lighting, climate control, security, irrigation and so on.  In order for home control systems to function, the devices used in these sub-systems must be able to facilitate two way communications with the home controller.

Manufacturers of Home Control systems may chose to either interface to open sub-systems and devices, or to take a more proprietary approach by limiting the devices that will work with their system to products that they engineer and market.

Our strategic approach to sub-systems is very simple. We support and interface to what we consider to be the best technlogies and products in each sub-system category.

We will never pursue a proprietary sub-system strategy; never attempt to lock customers into light switches or thermostats or audio systems that will work only with our system.

This approach allows customers to match sub-system components and devices with their specific needs in terms of functionality, cost and ergonomics.
